Siddharth Bookinkere
I’m someone who enjoys slowing down to understand how things work—whether it’s a business process, a data pattern, or a conversation. I find energy in solving quiet problems, learning something new every day, and building things that are simple, meaningful, and useful to others. I believe good work comes from a clear mind and a kind heart.

My journey so far
One of the first defining moments came in 2020, when I served as the Business Plan Lead for my team at the Formula Bharat Championship in India. We placed 13th nationally, but more than the ranking, it was the process that shaped me. I led the development of a full-scale business plan for our car—diving into customer research, product positioning, operations, marketing strategy, and financial analytics. It was the first time I saw how data, when used thoughtfully, could turn a vision into a viable product. That experience sparked my passion for solving real-world problems through thoughtful analysis and strategic thinking.
This growing interest eventually led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Business Analytics at Boston University. It became a space where I could sharpen my thinking—merging data analysis with business strategy—and apply it to everything from AI automation to financial modeling. I worked on projects where we combined machine learning models with business context, used time-series forecasting to predict stock trends, and built dashboards that translated raw numbers into decisions people could trust. These were opportunities to think critically, test ideas, and communicate insights with clarity.
Since graduating, I’ve had the opportunity to apply what I’ve learned in high-impact environments—at Amazon, where I helped improve Alexa’s voice recognition by rethinking how user intent is captured, and at a cybersecurity startup, where I automated compliance processes using AI and real-time dashboards. Each role pushed me to go beyond analysis—into building solutions that are scalable, reliable, and deeply tied to business needs.
Outside of work, I spend my time exploring the Forest Hills nature trail, catching the breeze at Castle Island, diving deep into the intricacies of options trading, and enjoying a good, relaxing game of Table Tennis.

  • Explored real-world applications of fluid systems in HVAC, water circulation, and energy management systems
My Projects
  • I wanted to automate the hours I was spending manually tracking and analyzing stocks, so I set out to build a system that could do it for me
  • I pulled 10 years of S&P 500 data using the yfinance API and built technical indicators like RSI, MACD, and moving averages in Python
  • Then I layered in ARIMA time forecasting and ran sentiment analysis on financial news using NLP to filter for fundamentally strong stocks with market buzz
  • The final output was a shortlist of high-potential stocks—saving time, and helping me make more confident, data-backed decisions
  • I wanted to better understand how media narratives evolve and how misinformation spreads, so I worked on building a tool that could help visualize it
  • I used Plotly in Python to create an animated visualization of news articles, showing bubbles and mountain shapes color-coded by logical fallacies and bias types
  • Then I designed an interactive treemap that mapped misinformation trends across sub-narratives, with a time slider to track changes over weeks and months
  • The result was a visual system that helped stakeholders explore evolving patterns in media bias and misinformation in a way that was both clear and compelling
  • Recognizing the need for a more focused and intuitive productivity experience, this ongoing project aims to design a tool that simplifies task management without sacrificing motivation
  • At its core is a digital vision board, built to help users stay connected to their long-term goals while navigating daily responsibilities
  • A sub-task breakdown system is being developed to make larger tasks feel more approachable and reduce cognitive overload
  • The goal is to create a clean, user-friendly interface that balances structure and inspiration—supporting productivity in a way that feels personal and sustainable
  • I wanted to understand what was fueling the rise of Indian startups, so I collected and combined multiple funding datasets spanning 2015 to 2020
  • Using SQL, I cleaned and merged over 1,000 rows of data to analyze patterns in funding stages, top investors, and regional growth
  • Then I visualized the results in Tableau using density maps to track funding trends across industries and cities
  • The analysis revealed over $30B invested in E-Commerce and EdTech, offering clear insights into where future growth and investor interest is heading
